In November and December 2021, members of the Butterfly Effect co-hosted a series of workshops aimed at formulating a series of policy demands that the network will take to a high level.
During these workshops, nearly 180 NGO representatives exchanged on a question: What policy changes are needed to achieve human droits to drinking water and sanitation and for sustainable and equitable water management?
The purpose of this synthesis is to bring together the priorities formulated during these workshops.
With the desire to open this process to civil society engaged on water issues, the Butterfly Effect puts its synthesis to consultation.
The various inputs collected will contribute to the production of a course policy positioning document that will be submitted to decision-makers in the water sector, notably on the occasion of the 9th World Water Forum and the 2023 UN Eau Conference.
Attention: Taking into account its two main advocacy targets, the Butterfly effect mainly targets States. The messages presented in this synthesis therefore have a global scope, applicable either to States or to the international community as a whole. Please take this factor into account for this consultation.
